Fast Feet Friday (FFF) is dedicated to providing a harassment-free environment for everyone regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of anyone in any form. We want to ensure the ballroom is an environment where people feel free from coercion, bigotry, discrimination, and bullying.
Community Standards
FFF is a community built on respect and inclusivity. We have a zero-tolerance policy for racist, misogynist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or any other form of discriminatory language or behavior. Any attendee violating this policy will be asked to leave and may face a permanent ban.
Substance and Safety
FFF does not serve alcohol, and we ask that you do not bring any into our events. If you are found to be overly intoxicated or under the influence of substances causing a danger to yourself or others, you will be asked to leave immediately.
Harassment and Consent
FFF is a consent-positive environment, not a pick-up venue. Respect personal boundaries at all times. Anything other than an enthusiastic "yes" is a "no." Sexual harassment (including, but not limited to, unwanted sexual advances, lewd jokes, suggestive gestures, or unwanted touching) may be met with an immediate, permanent ban from all FFF events.
Dance Floor and Venue Safety
Aerials: For safety reasons, aerials are not allowed at FFF social dances.
Unsolicited Advice: Please do not offer feedback or dancing advice unless specifically asked.
Conduct: Participants must abide by both FFF community expectations and all rules enforced by the venue management.
(See Dance With Joy Studios Safer Spaces Code of Conduct)
Right to Enforce and Ban (Preventative Action)
To ensure the safety, comfort, and inclusivity of our community, FFF reserves the right to ask any individual to leave the venue at any time, for any reason.
Our commitment to a safe environment extends beyond the walls of our specific events. FFF reserves the right to issue a temporary or permanent ban based on credible and/or repeated reports of harmful conduct occurring at other community venues or related organizations. Without the resources to conduct independent full-scale investigations, we prioritize preventative action to protect our attendees from known risks. We act in the interest of community safety when a pattern of behavior suggests a potential threat to our environment.
Enforcement Escalation
Upon uncooperative behavior or violation of these rules, FFF may escalate to involving the venue security officer and, if necessary, law enforcement.
